An unexpected change since weight loss is that I am often cold. As I sit here typing right now, my hands are like ice cubes. I have a throw in my lap at work most days. I've "borrowed" the heating pad from CME's side of the bed and like it on my feet at night. I use to be the person who wouldn't wear a coat unless the temps were in the teens or less. Now, I am cold. I guess with the extra weight came extra insulation.

Hi Deedra
ReplyDeleteI found that too. Since slimming down I always had to have a spare woolie or two at work, carry scarves and gloves almost everywhere and now actually like being near radiators (used to hate it as I went bright red and sweated like a hog!).
However... I'm gradually finding that my internal thermostat is readjusting. The 'ooooh, I'm f-f-freezing!' moments are getting less as time goes by, so there is hope for a warm life ;-)
Guess I've finally discovered what the heck people used to mean by 'wear layers'! Amazing, eh?
I'm glad to hear that there's hope for my internal thermostat! And I know what you mean about wearing layers...never thought I'd see that day! :)
